Gemini app gets a newer model and a watermark switch

• The Gemini app switches to Google's newer fast model

Google's newest fast model replaced the older one for Gemini app chats on Android, iPhone, the web and Mac. A new setting turns off the corner icon on images and videos, but not where law requires it, and a hidden digital mark stays in the file.

Why it matters: If you use Gemini for customer replies or flyers, you are already on the new model, and you can drop the visible icon from images you make.
