  • OpenAI plans to cut off its models inside Cursor on November 12

    After SpaceX bought the coding tool Cursor, OpenAI said it will end access to its models there, with a proposed shutoff date of November 12, 2026. Cursor says OpenAI models handle about 5% of its use.

    Why it matters: If someone builds your tools in Cursor with OpenAI's models, ask what they will switch to before November.

    OpenAI added ads to ChatGPT's free plan and its low-cost Go plan in India. It says ads are already live in 38 countries, the US included, labeled and shown below the answer.

    Why it matters: If your office uses free ChatGPT, expect ads under answers, while Anthropic has said Claude will stay ad-free.
