  • Apple Watch's new listening features raise recording-consent questions

The Apple Watch Series 12 can show the last 15 seconds of a conversation as text or sum up the day's conversations. The Register notes that 11 US states require everyone's consent to record, and the EFF says bystanders have no practical way to agree or decline.

Why it matters: If you wear one on jobs or at the counter, customers may not know it is listening, and in some states the law expects their consent.
