ChatGPT Dots

  • You can create a ChatGPT dot on your phone

Notes for October 9, covering October 5 to October 9, say you can create your dot in the ChatGPT phone app, name it, and open straight into its chat. The dot can also read and change repeating tasks in ChatGPT Work.

OpenClaw

  • OpenClaw updates finish instead of stalling

The October 12 release says the first upgrade from stable 2026.10.1 now finishes cleanly, and a successful update of the install you already have no longer ends in an error. On Windows, an update that used to stall or roll back now finishes.

Coding helpers for anyone building their own tools, or paying someone who does.

Cursor

  • Cursor asks before a risky delete

The October 8 update asks before a delete into inner folders, a forced delete, a star-pattern delete, or a delete that removes files so one folder matches another. The target could differ from what was written, such as an unset variable or an extra space in a path.

Claude Code

  • Claude Code asks before it uses the browser

The October 9 update makes Claude Code in VS Code ask before browser actions in every session, as the terminal already does. Allowing a site for that session stops the repeat asks.

  • bb lets you reuse prompts and quiet alerts

You turn Prompt Library on in Settings, under Plugins, then search old prompts, star favorites, and drop one into a draft. Each conversation can be set to all activity, only when it needs you, or muted.

Codex

  • Codex rejects a changeable setup program

The October 8 update rejects a setup program when that program file can be changed, and it stops a search setting from weakening the rules that block files. Update to get that fix.

Paseo

  • Paseo fixes cut-off text in iOS chats

The October 9 update fixes text that sometimes got cut off in iOS chats and in formatted previews. Update if those lines were clipped.
