An AI helper you give a task in plain words, which works on it by itself on a cloud computer and hands back the result.
- What it does
- You describe a task, like research, slides, or a simple website, and it works through it on its own computer in the cloud, then hands back the result.
- Who makes it
- Butterfly Effect Pte. Ltd., Singapore.
- What it costs
- Paid plans are $20, $40, or $200 a month for 4,000, 8,000, or 40,000 credits, or 17% less paid yearly. Team is $20 per seat a month. Each task uses credits based on how big and long it is, and unused monthly credits don’t roll over.
- Where your data goes
- Its privacy policy uses your prompts and content to improve the service. The Team plan lets you opt out of training; Manus doesn’t say whether personal plans can. It works through tasks by itself.
- What you need first
- An account, age 18 or older, on the web or the Mac, Windows, iPhone, or Android apps.
- Where it stands
- Changing: after it was bought on December 29, 2025, Manus deleted some users’ data in August 2026 to meet rules in certain places, and says it’s been independent again since September 1.
- Who it suits
Good fit if you have one-off research or slide jobs and want to hand them off whole.
Not a fit if you want a steady monthly bill; each task’s cost depends on how big and long it is.
