- A personal assistant that carries out tasks, not just answers: it can send an email, book travel, fill out forms, and keep working after you close the app. You talk to it in the Muse app or in WhatsApp.
- Who makes it
- Meta Platforms, Inc., Menlo Park, California.
- What it costs
- Free up to a usage limit. Power is $20 a month and Maximum is $100 a month, each with a bigger weekly allowance. Plans renew monthly until you cancel.
- Where your data goes
- It works on its own computer in Meta’s cloud, which holds your data and the logins you connect. Meta uses your chats to improve its AI unless you opt out under Data Controls. It asks before sending an email or buying something.
- What you need first
- A Meta account, age 18 or older, in the US, on iPhone, Android, or the web.
- Where it stands
- New: announced September 8, 2026. Meta says Muse and its paid plans are in limited testing and not available everywhere yet.
- Who it suits
Good fit if you want help with your own errands, like travel, forms, and personal email, and you’re in the US.
Not a fit if you need the shop’s phone answered or jobs booked into your job software; it does neither.
