- What it costs
- Free to start, paying as you go at $1 per credit. Monthly plans are Mighty $30, Super $100, and Ultra $200. Running it on your own computer has no Vellum fee; you pay the AI company directly.
- Where your data goes
- In Vellum’s cloud, your data sits in your own private account; on your Mac, it stays there. Vellum says it doesn’t use your chats to train AI. Sending email to new contacts or spending credits needs your okay until you mark it trusted.

- Vellum says about 5 minutes to install, or about 30 seconds on the web.
- What you need first
- A Vellum account and internet, on the web, iPhone, Android, a Mac (macOS 15 or later), or Windows 10 or later.
- Where it stands
- Its code was first published in February 2026, and the Windows app is still a test version.
- Who it suits
Good fit if you want a personal helper for your own email and calendar, and are willing to approve what it sends at first.
Not a fit if you need someone to answer the shop phone or book jobs into your job software.
