Every maker uses its own name
ChatGPT lists most extras as apps; some packs are called plugins. Claude and Grok call them connectors. Gemini calls them connected apps. Names keep changing.
Check what you already have
Gmail may already have an assistant built in, and so may your job software. Read what the add-on adds before you say yes.
Do not pay twice
Paying for the same help in two places wastes money. Check what your plan already does first.
