Receptionist by Jobber
Answers your business line’s calls and texts when you can’t, and books jobs straight into Jobber.
- What it does
- Answers your business calls and texts around the clock: answers questions about your business, takes new requests, books, cancels, and reschedules jobs in Jobber, takes messages, and passes urgent calls to you. It can answer your website chat too.
- Who makes it
- Jobber, the job software company in Edmonton, Canada.
- What it costs
- $29 a month on Core, Connect, and Grow, and included on Plus. Jobber’s Receptionist article says the $29 covers 30 conversations, then $0.79 each; its add-ons article says 100. Spam calls don’t count, and you can pause it at the limit.
- Where your data goes
- Every conversation is kept in Jobber as a summary, a recording, and a transcript. You choose what it does on its own: booking jobs, taking requests, or both. Anything you switch off, it asks you first. Jobber’s terms say what you share with its AI tools may be logged to improve them.
- Setup time
- Jobber lists six steps: greeting, what it does on its own, who’s kept in the loop, your business facts, a test, and done.
- What you need first
- A paid Jobber plan (not the trial), an admin login, and a Jobber phone number, which you forward your line to. For the US, Canada, and the UK.
- Where it stands
- On sale as an add-on; Jobber’s Plus plan page still calls it “beta access.”
- Who it suits
Good fit if you already run the shop on Jobber and miss more than a handful of calls a week.
Not a fit if you don’t use Jobber, or your business is outside the US, Canada, and the UK.
