Who makes the assistants

Many AI tools you’ll be pitched this year run on one of these four.

  1. Four makers, four assistants

    Each company builds its own engine and its own app.

    Claudemade by Anthropic
    Geminimade by Google
    Grokmade by SpaceXAI (formerly xAI)

  2. They all do the basics

    Each one writes, sums up, answers questions, and reads a photo or file you give it. Each has a free version and paid plans.

  3. They show up inside other apps

    Google puts Gemini inside Gmail and Docs. Microsoft sells an assistant inside Word, Excel, and Outlook. Your job software may have one too. Check before you pay twice.

  4. Many products run on them

    Plenty of “AI for contractors” products are one of these engines with a new name on top. Ask a seller which one theirs runs on.

  5. Learn one well

    For quotes, texts, and emails, knowing one assistant well matters more than the differences. Use one for a month.
